![]() ![]() With that in mind wouldn't the maintenance and fuel costs of running everything to make the bales and collect them (bale loader, baler, 2 tractors (one for pulling the baller and bale loader and one for loading the bales onto a semi trailer) and a semi truck and trailer for transport) would that not completely negate that extra $30 per bale due to more maintenance and fuel usage vs just selling the bulk material itself limiting the equipment needed to just a tractor, forage wagon and tipper for transport. I did a test on easy economy and a 9,000 liter straw bale sold for $1,001 while 9,000 liters of bulk straw only sold for $971 now that's only $30 more if I go through the effort of making the bales. So I've been bailing straw for extra cash (don't have animals that needs the straw) and I'm wondering if it's actually worthwhile to go through the effort of bailing the straw or should I just sale the bulk material itself?
